07 02.2026 | UN-IDENTIFIED : Annick Donkers
From 4pm to 6pm
A universe where documentary photography and belief blur into one another is explored in the documentary project UN-IDENTIFIED. Moving between investigation and fascination, the project enters a world populated by night skies scanned for signals, detailed abduction accounts, hand-drawn conspiracy maps, and colorful UFO festivals—spaces where belief becomes a shared social experience.
Rather than confirming or debunking extraterrestrial presence, UN-IDENTIFIED observes how images, testimonies, and photographs construct meaning—how photography becomes a tool for holding together doubt, desire, fear, and imagination. The camera does not reveal the truth of the cosmos, but instead exposes the deeply human need to believe in something beyond ourselves.
Annick Donkers is a photographer and visual artist based between Antwerp, Belgium, and Mexico. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from KU Leuven. After completing her studies, she traveled the world solo, combining her journeys with volunteer work. Although she initially worked in international marketing research, she soon realized that photography was her true passion.
This talk is for anyone who enjoys photography seasoned with a healthy skepticism about the cosmos: curious minds, believers, non-believers, and those who simply enjoy watching reality gently slip into fiction.
