Confrontation
Three Representations of the World
"It was in Brussels that my work as a painter and sculptor began. There, for twenty years, by exhibiting alone or in groups, I was able to take part in the artistic life of an international city, developing connections with numerous artists. And in return, this allowed me to exhibit in Quebec, Prague, Paris, Nice, and Avignon.
Having lived for about twenty years in Provence, I found in this beautiful region a powerful stimulus to passionately develop my love for painting and sculpture.
After exploring the facets of figurative art, abstraction becomes an essential step if one wishes to express, in an intimate and personal way, what life makes us see and hear. Sincerity in painting is, for me, the foremost quality.
'One does not become a painter, one is born a painter.'
In recent years, my inspiration has been focused on string quartet music and opera."
